Allied by their love of bands, beats and basslines four of Brighton's best underground nights have come together to offer you the ultimate Bank Holiday night out, a May Masquerade with three floors of festival fun all under one roof!
Flawless, Playgroup, Slackers Convention and The Electric Playboys Club have all joined forces to form Allied Beats, and they will be taking over the whole of Komedia on Bank Holiday Sunday, 25th May. These four crews have been putting on parties in Brighton for years so expect great things with plenty of beats, treats and feats.
As part of the Brighton Fringe Festival, Allied Beats will offer you some of the best live acts, entertainment and DJs Brighton, the UK and the World has to offer! It doesn’t matter what music your into Allied Beats offers you everything; indie, techno, rap, hip hop, funk, electronica, drum and bass, breaks, electro, dub, reggae and soul. With a festival vibe at its very core there will be stalls, visuals and circus acts, all you need to do is get your hands on a ticket and turn up dressed up, masked up or made up!
The upstairs room is headlined by Bournemouth breaks boys Aquasky with legendary MCs The Ragga Twins and local heroes now worldwide stars JFB (UK DMC Champion) and Beardyman (Two time UK Beatbox Champion). The downstairs bands room is headlined by Kiwi kings Minuit, festival favourites Subsource, Brighton’s own funk / punk / dubsters Los Albertos and electronic princes Transformer, all MC hosted by The Howling. Add to the mix a selection of Allied Beats finest DJ residents playing back to back sets and combine it with the Studio bar DJs including Radio Reverb, that’s one hell of a line up!
