Beatsworkin and Death By Disco bring you a massive night at Concorde 2. On Friday 24th May Mr C's SUPERFREQ comes to Brighton as part of his 'Smell the Coffee' album tour.
Founded by resident Mr.C at The End Club in February 2002 as a monthly Saturday night event, Superfreq has been entertaining discerning clubbers into innovative dance music & quality life styles for over eight years. In the summer of 2002 Superfreq completed its first full season in Ibiza throwing weekly parties at club Underground, the success of which caused Superfreq to switch its London events from a monthly Saturday to a weekly Sunday in an effort to recreate the community spirit that it had captured in its first full season in Ibiza.
Since then Superfreq has achieved six full seasons in Ibiza, three at Club Underground before moving to the infamous DC10 for two seasons and then after a one season hiatus, returning to Ibiza in 2009 at club Blu. Superfreq has also completed five annual tours of South America, as well as regular events with G.U.M in Ecuador and Made Events in NYC. Superfreq has also done one off shows the world over including U.S.A, Canada, Mexico, China, England, Spain, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Lithuania, France, Croatia, Greece, Latvia & Russia to name but a few Countries. In London, Superfreq remained weekly on Sundays at The End & AKA bar in London, switching between the two spaces several times before reverting back to monthly for its last two years at this legendary venue which sadly closed its doors for good in January 2009.
Completing the SUPERFREQ line-up is another absolute legend: A Guy Called Gerald; the man behind probably the biggest dance track of all time 'Voodoo Ray'. Bringing his blend of acid and tech house to the night will be a perfect compliment to the Shamen front man. Mr C of course is also responsible for some of the biggest and most influential dance tracks ever, including The Shamen's Ebaneezer Goode and Move any Mountain.
Having these two phenomenal DJs under one roof is a real treat and definitely not to be missed. Mr C is also touring the release of his brand new artist album 'Smell the Coffee' (album details below), so this is going to be a very special event.
Brighton's Beatsworkin and Chemical Play (Plus Plus Recordings / Death by Disco / DPM / Junkbox / Shhh) will also be playing in the main room and warming up the night, while Reform's Harvey Bailey will be returning to the decks for what will promise to be another excellent set on this very special night.
In the Bar, the Codesouth DJ's will be supplying the soundtrack, with Aaron D, Henning Schmitz and Peter O, joined also by the superb Beatsworkln regular: Mark Allister (Knee Deep. TwoForks) as well as Audio Villains aka Jason Gaved & Ross Ciccone.
