Come with the whole family, and explore a diverse array of artisanal vendors, savouring unique creations. From original pieces of art, to homeware, candles, jewellery, fashion, haircare, jewellery, wellness and more! We are also very excited to announce that The Caribbean Kitchen will be serving as they now have a permanent kitchen at The Actors pub.

There will be a headline performance from the renowned AFLO. the poet, (she/they) is an award-winning Brighton-based spoken word artist, activist and academic who embraces creative expression to disrupt the status quo and inspire social change.

From protests on the streets of Brighton, to celebrations in hills of Jamaica, AFLO. has shared her rhythmic rhymes far and wide and has no intentions of stopping. Her highlights from 2024 so far include featuring in Verve Poetry Festival, expanding her practice during residencies in Anita's Room at Brighton Dome, and heading to the magical fields of Glastonbury to share her work and host the open mic on the Poetry & Words stage.
AFLO. uses poetry as a vehicle to address hard-hitting topics, particularly racism and mental health, primarily speaking from her lived experiences.

You can sign up to showcase your talents at our open mic. Plus, don't miss your chance to win exquisite vendor treasures in our raffle! This event is free entry but open to donations on our eventbrite page.

Sam Carter announced his fifth solo album, Silver Horizon, for release on Captain Records on Friday, 16th of August. Featuring 11 hook-driven indie folk songs in an absorbing sound world, Silver Horizon represents a marked shift in style from Carter’s previous work.

Over his fifteen-year career, Midlands-born guitarist and songwriter Sam Carter has earned a reputation for vivid, heartfelt songwriting and captivating live performances. He is a highly regarded instrumentalist, renowned by many as “the finest English-style fingerpicking guitarist of his generation” (Jon Boden). Sam has appeared on national TV, including a spellbinding performance on Later… with Jools Holland, won a BBC Folk Award, and toured the world, sharing stages with folk’s leading lights, including Richard Thompson, Eliza Carthy, Martin Simpson, and Bella Hardy.

People gather on the edge of the drowned marshes. Watching. Waiting ....

It is 1912 and in an isolated house on the salt water marshes of Sussex, Connie Gifford lives with her father. His Museum of Avian Taxidermy was once legendary, but since its closure Gifford has become a broken man, taking refuge in the bottle.

Robbed of her childhood memories by a mysterious accident, Connie is haunted by fitful glimpses of her past. A strange woman has been seen in the graveyard; and a few miles away, at Chichester's Graylingwell Asylum, two female patients have, inexplicably, disappeared.

As a major storm hits the Sussex coast, old wounds are about to be opened as one woman, intent on revenge, attempts to liberate another from the horrifying crimes of the past.

Here the old superstitions still hold sway .... skin and blood and bone.
